NOVEL CORONAVIRUS MESSAGE TO PATIENTS:
The NHS and Public Health England are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. the NHS has put in place measure to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal. The risk to the general public is moderate.
If you have been in contact with someone with Coronavirus or returned from one of the affected countries, please self isolate. DO NOT GO TO THE SURGERY, PHARMACY OR HOSPITAL

HOW TO AVOID CATCHING AND SPREADING CORONAVIRUS
Wash your hand with soap and water often, do this for at least 20 seconds
Always wash your hands when you get home from work
Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Medical services at this practice are currently being provided under caretaking arrangements. This follows the decision by the partners to dissolve their partnership.
Caretaking arrangements will allow the local NHS time to carefully consider future options for the practice. Our priority is ensuring patients receive continuity of care, which is of the highest quality. A further update will be provided in due course.
You do not need to do anything. Please continue to contact the surgery and access appointments in the same way.

Your Care Connected (YCC) is an electronic record sharing system that allows authorised health and care staff to securely view key aspects of the GP record, to provide patients with better and safer care.

Home visits should be requested before 11 am each day so that the duty doctor can organise their visit list after morning surgery and before afternoon surgery starts. The doctor may not be able to carry out any home visit where the request comes in after 11 am due to the demands of their day.
TIMES ARE CHANGING;
Evening and weekend appointments are now available for our patients at Yardley Wood Health Centre Druids Heath Health Centre. Appointments must be booked in advance through our reception staff and are available for GPs, nurses and health care assistants. We have a limited amount of appointments allocated to us.
Monday to Friday 6.30 pm till 8.00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 8.30 am till 11.30 am
All telephone calls are now being recorded for quality and training purposes.
We have introduced a texting service to remind patients of their appointments. If you would like to receive texts please make sure we have an up to date mobile telephone number. You will also be able to cancel your appointment if you text back CANCEL. This is an automated service so messages must not be sent.
